- The micrometer frame is gripped firmly in a tilting head between two nylon pads tightened by a knurled thumb screw
- Ball joint construction allows the tilting head to be positioned as much as 45° off perpendicular in any direction
- Accommodates all Starrett 1/2″ and 1″ outside micrometers, and Nos. 210, 220, 483
